Blorfday 2019

Hey friends! It is that time of year again, when my odometer ticks over and I try not to think about how rapidly time keeps on progressing.

If you are seeing this then you are invited to my BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR NO REASON WE’LL JUST HAVE PIZZA.

When: June 15 (Saturday), starts at like 5 PM, goes until whenever

Where: My home! Email me or DM me on mastodon or Discord or Facebook or whatever Slack you know me from for the address and phone number. (sorry for the extra step but this post isn’t as private as I’d like, as it turns out.)

It is at the corner of Harvard and Union. The entry gate is beside the entrance to the Bartell’s lot on Harvard, and to be let in you dial my apartment number and then wait in the lobby until I retrieve you. Or if you get lost, you can call or text me (again, email me to get the number).

As usual I will be doing POT-LUCK PIZZA. Which is to say I will produce a bunch of dough and provide tomato sauce and cheese, and y'all can bring whatever toppings you want (but don’t feel like it’s required because everyone always brings too much and on the off chance there’s not enough I live literally next to a QFC and not too far from a Whole Foods so it’s easy to get more).

If you don’t want to bring a pizza topping, an appetizer or a dessert would also be dandy. Or just bring your happy self!

Also, it’s possible that there might be karaoke or playing video games or other fun times. And generally like, chill hanging-out and conversationing and drink my booze and whatever.

Anyway! If you are planning on attending, please post a comment here indicating your response. Or I guess you could send an RSVP WebMention if you’re that kind of nerd wait actually please don’t, RSVPs tend to be public and that would, like, expose this entry to the world, wouldn’t it. Yeah just post a comment please. (or i guess you could email me or send a DM on Mastodon too. Why is modern communication so difficult and fragmented?)

Also if you have any dietary restrictions please post them as well. (I, for one, am allergic to lavender. Yes, really.)

Oh yeah travel options: bus and light rail and the First Hill Streetcar are all good options. Parking sucks in my neighborhood though, so I recommend not driving here if you can avoid it.

(Also sorry for the last-minuteness of this, but it took me this long to decide if I was going to do anything what with all the, y'know, stuff going on, but things seem to be working out that I can do this thing after all.)

Anyway! I hope to see you there.
